Koreatown is no stranger to crimes such as rapes and homicides. People are still talking about the latest murder that occurred at the M2 Cafe & Karaoke bar on 6th Street.
Michael Kim, 36 years old and of Anaheim Hills, was shot in the head by Louis Woo Lee, 22, after an argument that started inside M2 but violently ended outside. Kim was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, while Lee was arrested for murder and assault with a firearm. There was a second victim who fortunately survived and was released from the hospital.
The incident happened at 2:10 am on June 7, Sunday.
No one feels like doing karaoke at M2 anymore. Not that it was a great place to begin with…
