Edible Arrangements Now Open at Solair Wilshire!

Actually, Frutation by Edible Arrangments has been open since the second week of January, but no one had noticed because it looked so empty. Well, this week they finally put out balloons and more prominent signage.

Grenade Plums and Emerald Plums in Korean

Is there a difference between grenade plums and emerald plums? Too lazy to google it. You can click on the pictures to enlarge and take a closer look.

What’s curious though is that at HanKook Market they label the grenade plums as 파인아플자두 (“pineapple” plums). They transliterated the English word pineapple! Again, too lazy to research this now.

Right next to the grenades were the emerald plums, which sounds almost the same in Korean: 에머랄드자두 (eh-mo-ral-duh jadoo). Jadoo is the Korean for ‘plum’. Do you see the plastic green lemons right above them?

Anyway, fruit is a real deal at HK Supermarket. Both these plums are just 99 cents a pound. Produce of USA.
