KYCC’s Holiday Carnival 2011

Koreatown Youth & Community Center’s 18th annual Holiday Festival is on December 10 (Saturday), 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, at Wilshire Park Elementary School at 4063 Ingraham Street, Los Angeles, CA 90005.

Locals enjoy this community gathering, while low-income children have an opportunity to explore different crafts, play games and receive a present from a very special benefactor.

Free Hepatitis B & HIV Screenings in Koreatown

The KHEIR Community Clinic is giving free Hepatitis B and HIV screenings this week, and walk-ins are welcome. KHEIR provides primary care medical services at 3727 West 6th Street in Los Angeles. Their programs include Primary Care, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Alternative Medicine, Prenatal Care, Pediatrics, and Family Planning.

General primary care services they offer include blood work, urine analysis, HIV/Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) testing, clinical  breast exams, pap smears and ultrasounds.  For those who qualify, they offer free or low-cost medical care under various County and State programs.

For more information, contact the clinic at (213) 637-1070, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Languages spoken are English, Korean and Spanish. KHEIR is located on the 2nd Floor of the KOA Building (northeast corner of 6th Street & Harvard).
