2012 Super Bowl Party in LA

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

Little-known fact: The most popular American bar in LA that requires a password is R Bar, located right in the heart of Oaxacatown, which is right in the heart of Koreatown!

ALWAYS something going on every night — karaoke or comedy or trivia… And this Sunday of course is the annual Super Bowl party, which means doors open at the unbelievably early hour of 2 PM, so everyone can get settled in before the game starts at 3:30.

Super Bowl Party 2012: Los Angeles

The folks at R Bar are breathlessly excited that MADONNA is performing at half-time. They have food and drink specials prepared… and to guarantee that the fun will last all the way to 1:00 AM the following morning is Jonny Z with his karaoke antics!

Expect a diverse crowd. For years, R Bar has been known as a “white” bar because of how it sticks out among the local Spanish-speaking establishments and the Korean-owned bars, but they’ve done a great job reaching out to the diverse residents of K-town via social media.

The password for entry is likely to be the current one “Pigs in Space”… To be sure, check the @RBarLA or @Koreatown timelines before you reach the door!
