An offshoot of the original 풍무 양꼬치전문점 on Olympic Boulevard. The name of this new restaurant is very easy to remember — it’s Feng Mao 2, as in Two.
GRAND OPENING: April 19, 2010
Lamb Kebab? Their specialty is mutton on skewers!
Nothing morbid about associating the meat you’re eating with cute sheep.
I did go inside but the servers rudely told me to stop taking pictures even after I had obtained permission from their higher-up. I suppose they couldn’t understand our communication in English in front of them and he didn’t bother telling them in Korean.
As with most “grand” openings of Koreatown establishments, today was more like a soft open. I saw them still screwing on fixtures in the morning and even at six in the evening when I dropped by again, they were still busy arranging things inside even as there was already one table with two ajumma diners.
I recommend you bring a Korean speaker with you or have loads of patience communicating with the servers. Loads of patience. They kept insisting that they close at 12 pm, among other things.
Business card says 생일 파티 환영, 예약 필수 — birthday parties are welcome… reservations are necessary.
